Tour Details by Day

Meals Included: Welcome Dinner

Arrive in Ottawa from your home airport. (Group Flights or book your own) The group flight will be met and transferred to the hotel with time to check in before the included Welcome Dinner. Our dinner is within steps of the hotel in Byward Market. Your evening is free after dinner to explore the area on your own. Within walking distance is the Rideau Canal, Fairmont Chateau Laurier, the National War Memorial just to name a few landmarks.

Today will start with a local guided Hidden in Site city tour where you will marvel at the history and architecture of our nation’s capital city. A relaxing narrated boat cruise in the afternoon will take you along the famous Rideau Canal, a defining element of Ottawa . After the cruise you will have time to explore downtown Ottawa on your own, where you can choose the parliament area, the Canadian Mint, one of multiple museums all within the area of your hotel.

This morning we will have an optional tour to the Parliament, starting with the Immersive 360 degree experience and followed by the House of Commons at West Block and the Senate of Canada building. For those wishing to explore other aspects of Ottawa, you can choose a free morning to do so. After lunch, we will leave Ottawa and begin our journey to Montreal with an overnight stay at the Fairmont le Chateau Montebello.

 This is the world’s largest log building built by cedar lumber imported from British Columbia. Marvel at the magnificent building and Unesco Heritage site and grounds on your own. This evening we will be treated like royalty and have an included dinner in their majestic dining room.

Leaving Montebello,  we will continue our drive into Montreal. Upon our arrival, we will pause for lunch and then be treated to a driving tour of Chinatown, downtown, the festival area, Mount Royal, Plateau Mont-Royal, and St-Helen’s Island for an extended city tour of Montreal. Once checked in the evening is free for you to dine on your own either at the hotel or multiple other close by restaurants.

Your morning will include a walking tour of Old Montreal from our hotel Le Westin. We will do a loop and go to Place d’armes, pointé à Callieres and come back to the World Trade Center and the underground city. In the afternoon we will take a short walk to the Notre Dame Basilica for a self guided tour. You will be stunned at the architecture and history. The remainder of the day is free to explore all that Old Montreal has to offer on your own, from the underground city to Old Port and everything in between. As an add on you can purchase tickets to Aura, a magnificent light show at the Notre Dame Basilica this evening.

Departing Montreal today we will make our way along the St Lawrence River. When in this area you cannot miss a stop for lunch at the Sugar Shack. We will be treated to an all you can eat Quebecois meal, listening to live music and afterwards all you can eat maple taffy prepared on a snow bed right in front of you, and time to shop in the souvenir shop.  We will then head into Old Quebec, stopping at our hotel where we will have a brief break before having a local guided driving tour of Old Quebec city, the only walled city in North America. You will see sites such as the National Assembly, Parliament Hill, The Battlefields Park, the Citadel, Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, Notre Dame-de-Québec Basilica and Place d’Armes. A stop will also be made at Place Royal, the cradle of French civilization in North America, in the Heart of Lower Town along the St. Lawrence River-front.  Once back at our hotel the balance of the evening is free to explore Old Quebec all on your own.

Today join us for a walking tour of Old Quebec, follow a costumed period-correct guide off the beaten paths for an entirely different view of Old Quebec that can not be accomplished driving. Relive 400 years of action-packed history, witness monument-lined streets and picturesque places such as Dufferin Terrace, Notre Dame-de-Québec Basilica, and Place Royal. Ending at lunch you have the balance of the day to explore all the newfound treasures of this historic cherished city.

This evening we will all gather together for a farewell dinner where we can share stories with fellow travelers and marvel at the wonderful historic areas of Canada that we have just taken part in.

Your time in eastern Canada has come to and end and airport transfers will be available for your flights to your home airports.
