Tour Details by Day

Day 1 – Thursday – June 17, 2027 – Flight to St John’s, NL – A warm Newfoundland welcome sets the tone for an unforgettable journey across The Rock.

Meals Included:  None

Included Group flights from Edmonton, accompanied by a Pro Tours Tour Director. Alternatively, guests may book their own flights from Edmonton or any city to join the tour in St. John’s. A late arrival in Newfoundland brings a warm downtown welcome, with a Parsons Motorcoach driver transferring the group to the Hilton Garden Inn for a two-night stay. Even as the day winds down, anticipation builds for the coastal scenery, rich culture, and stories that await across this remarkable province.

Day 2 – Friday –  June 18, 2027 –  St. John’s, Where rugged clifs, ocean horizons, and living history meet at the continent’s edge.

Stand where the continent ends and the Atlantic begins while exploring the colourful streets and dramatic coastline of St. John’s. Cape Spear marks North America’s most easterly point and offers a fascinating look at Newfoundland’s strategic military past, with preserved World War II gun turrets and coastal defenses overlooking the open ocean. The journey continues to Signal Hill, where transatlantic communication once changed the world, before time in the heart of downtown reveals the character of George and Water Streets, rich with historic façades, maritime stories, and unmistakable Newfoundland charm. The day concludes with a warm welcome to Newfoundland, meeting the local tour guide who remains with the group for the duration of the journey, followed by a traditional Jigg’s dinner celebrating the flavours and hospitality of the island.

Day 3 – Saturday – June 19, 2027 –  St. John’s to Gander – Wildlife encounters, coastal legends, and an ocean journey that lingers long after the shore fades.

Board the renowned Gatherall’s Puffin and Whale Watching Cruise for an unforgettable voyage along Newfoundland’s rugged coastline, with the possibility of gliding past towering icebergs while spotting playful puffins and majestic whales in their natural habitat. Lively onboard commentary blends wildlife insight and local folklore, bringing the region’s character vividly to life. An included lunch and time to browse the gift shop complete the coastal experience as the scenery gradually shifts westward en route to Central Newfoundland and the welcoming town of Gander for a 2 night stay at Sinbad’s Hotel 

Day 4 – Sunday –  June 20, 2027 – Twillingate – Iceberg Alley reveals its beauty through ancient stories, coastal gardens, and drifting giants of ice.

Welcome to the heart of Iceberg Alley in Twillingate, where rugged coastlines and stunning seascapes set the scene. The Beothuk Interpretive Centre offers insight into Newfoundland’s Indigenous history, followed by a leisurely stroll through the tranquil Ancient Gardens. An included lunch provides a relaxed pause before the highlight of the day unfolds aboard the Ocean Quest Iceberg Cruise, sailing alongside majestic drifting icebergs. Panoramic views await at Long Point Lighthouse, with a sweet stop at a local fudge store adding a delightful finish to this day shaped by natural wonders and rich heritage.

Day 5 – Monday – June 21, 2027 – Gander to Corner Brook -Giant Tales – Humpbacks to Captain James Cook

The day unfolds with a visit to the Humpback Whale Pavilion, offering insight into these remarkable ocean giants, followed by time at the charming Kings Point Pottery where local craftsmanship takes center stage. An included lunch at the cozy By The Sea Inn and Café highlights fresh regional flavours before the journey continues toward Corner Brook. Sweeping views of the city, the Blomidon Mountains, and the sparkling Bay of Islands await at the Captain James Cook Historic Site. The evening settles in at the welcoming Glynmill Inn, where a peaceful stroll through manicured gardens and a tranquil pond provides a relaxing close to the day.

Day 6 – Tuesday –  June 22, 2027 – Corner Brook to Torrent River – Exploring Gros Morne – Lighthouse to Arches

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Insight into Gros Morne’s extraordinary geology and natural history sets the stage at the Gros Morne Visitor Centre, followed by sweeping panoramic views over the waters of Bonne Bay. An interpreter welcome at the historic Lobster Cove Lighthouse brings its stories to life, with time to explore the grounds and stroll along the surrounding cliffside paths. A serene pause for an included lunch in the quiet community of Cow Head offers a moment to take in the peaceful coastal setting, leading onward to the remarkable Arches—dramatic rock formations shaped by the relentless force of the sea. The day concludes in Torrent River with a guided site visit of the ancient archaeological grounds at Port au Choix before settling in for the night at the Torrent River Inn with live local entertainment 

Day 7 – Wednesday – June 23, 2027 – Torrent River – Across the Strait to Labrador: Whales, Basques & Beacons

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner  

Board the ferry at St. Barbe for the crossing of the Strait of Belle Isle, keeping a sharp eye out for passing whales and majestic icebergs drifting through these storied waters. Landfall in Labrador opens the door to history at Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that preserves the remains of a 16th-century Basque whaling station. The journey continues to L’Anse Amour, home to the tallest lighthouse in the province, where sweeping coastal views stretch toward the horizon. The day in Labrador is capped off with dinner before settling in at the Northern Lights Inn in L’Anse au Clair

Day 8 – Thursday – June 24, 2027 – L’Anse Au Clair to St Anthony – Vikings, & the Northern Edge

Meals Included: Breakfast

The return crossing of the Strait of Belle Isle offers another chance to scan the waters for majestic whales and drifting icebergs as Newfoundland comes back into view. History reaches even deeper at L’Anse aux Meadows, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Viking adventurers settled more than 1,000 years ago, revealing the only known Norse site in North America. The day concludes in this far-northern corner of the island at the Haven Inn, setting the stage for a magnificent sunrise overlooking the rugged coastline.

Day 10 – Saturday – June 26, 2027 Homeward bound – With Newfoundland in our hearts, the journey comes full circle.

With Newfoundland etched into memory, the time comes to say farewell to The Rock. After ten days of travel and a lively show the evening before, a slower morning offers a well-earned chance to sleep in. A leisurely breakfast and relaxed start set an unhurried tone before departing for Deer Lake Airport and the journey home, carrying stories, friendships, and unforgettable moments from this remarkable island.
