Your Icelandic adventure begins as we gather at Edmonton International Airport and board our flight to Reykjavík. Settle in and relax as we cross the North Atlantic on our approximately 6 1⁄2-hour journey to the Land of Fire and Ice. As morning approaches, anticipation builds for the incredible Landscapes, Waterfalls, Glaciers, Volcanoes, and Viking history that await. Rest comfortably onboard and prepare to wake up in one of the world’s most fascinating destinations, ready to begin an unforgettable Icelandic adventure.

Day 2 – Sat Sep 04, 2027 – Welcome to the Land of Fire & Ice

Welcome to Iceland! Upon arrival at Keflavík International Airport, we begin our adventure with a hearty Icelandic breakfast at a charming local restaurant. From there, we explore the dramatic landscapes of the Reykjanes Peninsula, where steaming geothermal areas, Rugged Lava Fields, and Volcanic Scenery introduce us to the raw beauty of this remarkable island. A stop at the colourful Geothermal area of Seltún offers our first glimpse into Iceland’s powerful geological forces before continuing to Reykjavík, the nation’s vibrant capital for a 2 night stay. Enjoy a free afternoon to stroll the city’s picturesque streets, browse local shops, or simply relax and soak in the Icelandic atmosphere.

Day 3 – Sun Sep 05, 2027 – The Golden Circle – Iceland’s Most Iconic Wonders

Today we discover Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, a collection of natural and historic treasures that showcase the very best of the country. Our journey begins at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland’s first parliament was established in 930 AD and where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drift apart. We continue to the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall, where glacial waters thunder into a dramatic canyon below. At the nearby Geysir Geothermal Area, witness the famous Strokkur Geyser erupting high into the air every few minutes. After a day filled with unforgettable scenery and fascinating history, we return to Reykjavík for the evening.

Day 4 – Mon Sep 06, 2027 – Iceland’s Spectacular South Coast – Waterfalls, Volcanoes & Black Sand Beaches

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner 

Travel along Iceland’s Breathtaking South Coast, a region known for its striking landscapes and dramatic natural beauty. Our first stop is the enchanting Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, where a pathway allows visitors to Walk behind the Cascading Curtain of Water. We continue to mighty Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls, before visiting the famous Black Sand Beach of Reynisfjara. Towering Basalt Columns, crashing Atlantic waves, and dramatic sea stacks create one of the country’s most iconic coastal scenes. This evening, we settle into our hotel for the next 2 evenings in the Skaftafell Region.

Day 5 – Tue Sep 07, 2027 – Skaftafell & Glacier Lagoon – Icebergs, Glaciers & Natural Wonders

Today we explore the extraordinary landscapes of Vatnajökull National Park. In Skaftafell, those wishing to stretch their legs can enjoy a scenic walk to beautiful Svartifoss Waterfall, framed by striking Black Basalt columns. Later, we visit the world-famous Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where Massive Icebergs drift gracefully across crystal-clear waters after breaking away from a nearby glacier. Nearby Diamond Beach offers another unforgettable sight as glistening chunks of ice wash ashore against the Black Volcanic Sand, creating a truly magical contrast. Return to our hotel for another night surrounded by Iceland’s spectacular wilderness.

Day 6 – Wed Sep 08, 2027 – The Mystical Eastfjords – Mountain Peaks & Coastal Villages

Our journey continues through the remote and beautiful Eastfjords, where Towering Mountains rise dramatically from the sea and winding roads reveal breathtaking views at every turn. Travel through Narrow Fjords and Charming Fishing Villages that seem untouched by time while enjoying one of Iceland’s most scenic regions. This evening we arrive in the Egilsstaðir area, the gateway to East Iceland.

Day 7 – Thurs Sep 09, 2027 – Lake Mývatn & Northern Iceland – Volcanic Landscapes Beyond Imagination

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner 

Crossing Iceland’s rugged interior, we journey through the vast Black Sands and Volcanic Terrain of Möðrudalsöræfi en route to the Lake Mývatn Region. This remarkable area is renowned for its unique geological features and otherworldly scenery. Explore the pseudocraters of Skútustaðir, the fascinating Lava Formations of Dimmuborgir, and the
famous Grjótagjá Cave. Along the way, we stop at the stunning Goðafoss Waterfall, often called the “Waterfall of the Gods.” Our day concludes in Akureyri, for the next 2 evenings in Iceland’s charming northern capital.

Day 8 – Fri Sep 10, 2027 – The Diamond Circle Adventure – Europe’s Most Powerful Waterfall

Meals Included: Breakfast

Today we discover the natural treasures of North Iceland’s famous Diamond Circle. Highlights include Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall, where immense volumes of water thunder through a rugged canyon. We also visit the remarkable horseshoe-shaped Canyon of Ásbyrgi, steeped in Icelandic Folklore and believed by some to be home to hidden elves. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the forest to Botnstjörn Pond and learn more about the region’s unique geology at the Gljúfrastofa Visitor Centre
before returning to Akureyri.

Day 9 – Sat Sep 11, 2027 – Icelandic Horses & Lava Landscapes – Through the Heart of the North

Travel through the fertile Skagafjörður district, famous throughout Iceland for its horse-breeding traditions. A visit to a Local Horse Farm offers the opportunity to learn about the unique characteristics of the beloved Icelandic horse. Continuing toward Borgarfjörður, we stop at Grábrók Crater, where a short hike rewards visitors with panoramic views over Ancient Lava Fields Blanketed in Green Moss. Arrive at our hotel for the next two evenings in the beautiful Borgarfjörður region.

Day 10 – Sun Sep 12, 2027 – Snæfellsnes Peninsula – Miniature Iceland at Its Finest

Meals Included: Breakfast

Experience the extraordinary Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called “Iceland in Miniature” because it showcases so many of the country’s diverse landscapes in one compact region. Explore the Black Pebble Beach of Djúpalónssandur, the historic fishing area of Dritvík, and the Lava Fields connecting the charming villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar. Visit the famous Bjarnarhöfn Shark Museum, where you’ll learn about Icelandic traditions and have the chance to Sample Fermented Shark and Brennivín, Iceland’s signature spirit. Return to Borgarfjörður for the evening.

Day 11 – Mon Sep 13, 2027 – Historic Borgarfjörður & Reykjavík Sagas, Hot Springs & Waterfalls

Today we delve into Iceland’s fascinating history in the Borgarfjörður region. Visit Reykholt, once home to legendary medieval scholar and author Snorri Sturluson, and see the historic Snorralaug Hot Spring dating back centuries. We also visit Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, before marvelling at the unique waterfalls of Hraunfossar and Barnafoss. By afternoon we return to Reykjavík, where you can enjoy a final evening in Iceland’s colourful capital.

Day 12 – Tue Sep 14, 2027 – Farewell Iceland – Memories of Fire, Ice & Adventure

After an Unforgettable Journey around Iceland’s Ring Road, it is time to say goodbye to this extraordinary island nation. A private transfer takes us from Reykjavík to Keflavík International Airport for our journey home, carrying with us lasting memories of glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls, and the incredible beauty of Iceland.
