More Than Branson Tour

Embark on a 13-day journey combining the thrill of Branson’s shows with the historic charm of the American Midwest this April.

From the scenic river bluffs of St. Joseph to the iconic Mount Rushmore, this tour promises an unforgettable adventure through America’s Wild West.

Throughout this article, we’ll give you a glimpse of the tour’s major highlights so you can envision what’s in store.

The Dazzling Shows of Branson

Our adventure kicks off with the star-studded allure of Branson, Missouri. Here, you’ll be swept off your feet by live performances and stunning landmarks, and the graceful Branson Belle which features a relaxing and scenic cruise across Table Rock Lake. and the graceful Branson Belle which features a relaxing and scenic cruise across Table Rock Lake.

Branson’s roots as an entertainment destination began in the early 1900s and was cemented in the 1960’s when stars like Roy Clark and Andy Williams began performing there on a regular basis.

Fast forward to today, Branson boasts over 100 live performance theaters, more than any other city in the United States. It hosts over 7 million visitors annually and continues to evolve its reputation as the “Live Entertainment Capital of the World.”

Music legends, comedy, acrobatics, magic, and more can be found on Branson’s stages year-round.

St. Joseph’s Historic Echoes

On day 8 of the More than Branson Tour, you’ll tread the same ground as the Pony Express riders and relive the daring adventures of the notorious outlaw Jesse James.

The Walter Cronkite Memorial offers a glimpse into the life of an American icon, while the Patee House Museum invites you to step into the wild frontier.

If you didn’t know, the Pony Express was an express mail service that used horse-mounted riders from 1860 to 1861.

As for the outlaw Jesse James, he was assassinated in his home in St. Joseph in 1882, which is now a museum.

Monuments and Landscapes of Awe

Our trip reaches an exciting peak when we explore the wild, natural beauty of Badlands National Park, shaped by millions of years of nature’s work.

We’ll see the impressive Mount Rushmore, where the 60-foot faces of four famous American presidents are carved into a mountain, showing the strength and spirit of the country.

In Rapid City, commonly referred to as “The City of Presidents”, we’ll walk among life-sized bronze statues of past presidents, from George Washington to John F. Kennedy, each one telling a tale of their time as a leader.

The city of Wall, South Dakota is home to the world famous Wall Drug which you will visit on day 9. Wall Drug. Made successful by one idea, offering free ice water for weary travelers during the Great Depression, travelers still flock to Wall Drug today, with 2 million visitors a year.

Badlands National Park contains one of the world’s richest fossil beds, allowing scientists to study the evolution of mammals such as horses, rhinos, and saber-toothed cats.

Human history in the area is believed to span over 11,000 years, with the earliest inhabitants being Paleo-Indian mammoth hunters.
