Tour Details by Day

Day 1 – Saturday, May 23, 2026 – Pick Up Location to Three Valley Gap, BC –Prairies, Peaks, and Lakeside retreats

Meals Included:  Welcome Dinner

Welcome to the start of your Cruising the San Juan Islands adventure! Your journey begins with expansive prairie vistas that gradually rise into the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. Watch the landscape transform as you travel westward—rolling foothills give way to towering peaks, pristine lakes, and iconic mountain passes like Kicking Horse and Rogers Pass. Your day concludes at the charming Three Valley Lake Chateau, where a warm welcome dinner awaits.

Day 2 – Sunday. May 24, 2026 – Three Valley Gap, BC to Abbotsford, BC – A Mountain Descent to Ancient Lakebeds 

Meals Included: Breakfast

Journey through the picturesque Eagle Valley to Sicamous, soaking in the vibrant hues of North Shuswap and Mara Lakes. We’ll make a delightful stop at Swan Lake Market & Garden—an Okanagan gem known for local goods and seasonal produce.

Marvel at the stunning turquoise waters of Kalamalka Lake before crossing the shimmering expanse of Okanagan Lake via the unique floating William Bennett Bridge. In West Kelowna, enjoy a Wine Tasting Experience, savoring the region’s renowned varietals amid scenic vineyard views.

From there, we travel over the Okanagan Connector and the dramatic Coquihalla Highway, winding through majestic mountain landscapes that inspire awe at every turn. Descending into the fertile Sumas Prairie—once the vast Sumas Lake, drained and diked in the 1920s—we arrive in Abbotsford for an overnight stay, where you can relax and recharge for the adventures ahead.

Day 3 – Monday, May 25, 2026 – Abbotsford, BC to Friday Harbour,WA – Sailing the Northern Archipelago

Cross the border at Sumas and enjoy a short drive to Bellingham, where we cast off on a scenic cruise north to explore the northern side of the San Juan Archipelago. Keep your eyes peeled for marine mammals and seabirds as our captain shares fascinating and entertaining stories about the islands and the San Juan Channel. A hearty homemade lunch will be served onboard as you soak in the stunning surroundings. Upon arrival in Friday Harbour, you and your luggage will be transferred to the cozy Friday Harbour Suites. Just six blocks from the harbour and two blocks from downtown, you’re perfectly situated to explore this charming harbour town. Meander through its streets to discover great restaurants, unique shops and galleries, lively pubs, and the only museum dedicated to Orca whales.

Day 4 – Tuesday, May 26, 2026 – La Conner Charm and Deception Pass Adventure

Our cruise today takes us through small islands to the mouth of the Swinomish Channel, leading to the charming waterfront town of La Conner. You’ll have a few hours to explore on your own—stroll the boardwalk, browse shops and galleries, or visit a local microbrewery. Back aboard, we’ll pass through Hole In The Wall, a natural opening carved through rock cliffs, then on to the stunning Deception Pass, known for its swift tides and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy a San Juan Cruises tradition: an Old Fashioned Cracked Crab Lunch featuring Northwest Dungeness Crab, Tuscan Herb Baked Chicken, locally baked French bread, and dessert. Keep an eye out for magnificent wildlife, including Orca, Humpback, and Minke whales, Bald Eagles, Harbour Seals, Porpoises, Seabirds, and more.

We start with a guided motorcoach tour of San Juan Island, visiting highlights like Lime Kiln State Park, the Alpaca Ranch, English Camp, Roche Harbour Resort, and Westcott Bay Sculpture Park, with opportunities to stretch your legs along the way before returning to Friday Harbour. Enjoy free time to explore Friday Harbour before bidding farewell to this charming seaside town and returning to the mainland. Aboard the Salish Express, savor a picnic lunch as our scenic cruise continues through uncharted channels and past islands en route to Bellingham. Keep an eye out for abundant wildlife native to the San Juan archipelago. From Bellingham, we take a short, scenic drive by coach to the charming Dutch Village of Lynden and check in to The Inn at Lynden. Housed in the historic Waples Mercantile Building—once the heart of Lynden’s farming community—the inn blends historic character with modern comforts, providing a welcoming place to relax after a day of discovery.

Day 6 – Thursday, May 28, 2026 – Lynden, WA to Three Valley Gap, BC – Canadian Horizons and Lakeside Farewells 

Meals Included: Farewell Dinner

Embarking on our homeward journey, we’ll cross the Sumas border and travel through the dramatic Coquihalla Pass to Kamloops, then head eastward to the picturesque setting of Three Valley Gap. This evening, enjoy a special Farewell Dinner paired with a unique Ghost Town Tour—complete with open-fire cooking and a taste of frontier history. After dinner, take time to unwind at your own pace with a peaceful lakeside stroll, quiet reflection, or time spent socializing with fellow travelers as we celebrate the final evening of our adventure.

Day 7- Friday, May 29, 2026 – Three Valley Gap, BC – to the Road Home – Peaks, Plains and Reflection 

Meals Included: Breakfast
