Our journey continues north along the legendary Icefields Parkway, where glaciers, turquoise rivers and towering peaks create spectacular views around every bend. Stops at the thundering Sunwapta Falls and powerful Athabasca Falls bring us up close to two of Jasper National Park’s most impressive natural wonders.

Following a brief stop in Jasper, we turn west toward Mount Robson, rising 3,954 metres as the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Pause beneath this mountain giant for an included lunch while soaking in the incredible surroundings.

From Valemount, our route turns south along the scenic Yellowhead Highway, travelling through the broad North Thompson Valley with the river winding alongside us. Forested mountains, rushing waterways and small communities accompany the drive as we pass through Blue River and gradually leave the towering Rockies behind for the lush landscapes of British Columbia’s interior. Our destination is Clearwater, the gateway to magnificent Wells Gray Provincial Park and our home for the evening.

Day 3 – Sun May 30, 2027 – Clearwater – Wells Gray Park – Kamloops, BC – Canada’s Waterfalls & Volcanoes Park

A spectacular day of waterfalls and wilderness awaits in Wells Gray Provincial Park. Our journey begins at Spahats Falls, followed by panoramic views across the Clearwater Valley and a walk among the towering trees of the Grove of Giants.

Deeper into the park, watch for glimpses of the extinct Pyramid Mountain volcano before arriving at Dawson Falls, where the Murtle River tumbles across an impressive 90-metre-wide cascade. Along the way, we’ll pause for an included lunch amid the beautiful surroundings of Wells Gray before continuing past Mushbowl Canyon, another striking example of the powerful forces that shaped this remarkable landscape.

The showstopper is magnificent Helmcken Falls, plunging an awe-inspiring 141 metres over a volcanic cliff into the canyon below. Its tremendous power and dramatic wilderness setting provide a fitting finale to our Wells Gray adventure.

Retracing our route out of the park, we leave the waterfalls behind and follow the North Thompson Valley south toward Kamloops, watching the landscape gradually change from lush mountain forests to the rolling hills and open country of BC’s Interior. Settle into the Coast Hotel for a relaxing evening after a memorable day surrounded by some of British Columbia’s most spectacular natural wonders.

Our route swings east into the Shuswap, where spring colours the hillsides and the sparkling waters of Shuswap Lake accompany us through Sorrento and Blind Bay. At Herald Provincial Park, a short walk beneath towering cedars leads to beautiful Margaret Falls.

Continuing through Salmon Arm, enjoy a stop at DeMille’s Farm Market before a sweet treat at D Dutchmen Dairy in Sicamous. Mountains rise around us once again as we reach Revelstoke for a tour of the impressive Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre, where the tremendous scale of this 175-metre-high structure is matched by spectacular views across the Columbia River Valley.

Settle into the Coast Hillcrest Hotel, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, before gathering for a special Farewell Dinner to celebrate the adventures, spectacular sights and new friendships shared along the way.
