Kick off your Texas Trails & Western Tales tour as we start the day in St. Albert, making pickups along the way. After crossing the Coutts/Sweetgrass border, we’ll head to Great Falls, where your adventure truly begins.
Upon arrival, unwind at our Wine and Cheese reception before enjoying a delicious Welcome Dinner. This evening is the perfect opportunity to meet and connect with your fellow like-minded travelers, as well as your Tour Director and Coach Driver. Day 2 – Monday – March 16, 2026 – Great Falls, MT to Casper, WY – Scenic Stops & Western Comforts

Today, we journey southeast towards Casper, Wyoming, with picturesque photo stops at Judith Gap and Rimrock View near Billings, MT. These scenic vistas offer a perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of the West. Enjoy an evening of leisure, with dinner on your own at the hotel’s restaurant and lounge, or head next door to a classic Steakhouse for a hearty dinner. Afterward, unwind with a swim in the pool or relax in the inviting courtyard.
Day 3 – Tuesday – March 17, 2026 – Casper, WY to North Platte, NE – Cattle Trails & Natural Wonders

In Ogallala, famously known as the “town too tough for Texans,” we’ll enjoy an included lunch at Front Street Steakhouse, part of the Cowboy Museum—a captivating recreation of an 1880s Old West main street that brings the cattle trail era to life. We’ll also visit the Petrified Wood Gallery, home to Native American artifacts and exquisite carvings made from ancient petrified wood gathered from around the globe. A short drive takes us to North Platte, where we’ll check in for a two-night stay at the Fairfield Inn. Conveniently located near a variety of dining options, you’ll have plenty of ways to unwind and enjoy your evening.
Day 4 – Wednesday – March 18, 2026 – North Platte, NE – A Day of Legacy, Nature & History

Our day in North Platte is filled with history, nature, and unique local charm. We begin at Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park, stepping back in time to explore the life and legacy of William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody at his beloved Scout’s Rest Ranch. Next, we embark on a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience as we join local naturalists to witness over 400,000 Sandhill Cranes performing their breathtaking mating dances across the fields. At the Lincoln County Historical Museum, we’ll discover the inspiring stories of the North Platte World War II Canteen, enjoy a meal inspired by the era, and explore the exhibits at our own pace. We’ll then take in sweeping views from the Golden Spike Tower, overlooking Bailey Yard—the largest classification rail yard in the world. To cap off the day, we visit the Fort Cody Trading Post, where you’ll find one-of-a-kind Nebraska souvenirs to commemorate your journey.
Day 5 – Thursday – March 19, 2026 – North Platte, NE to Wichita, KS – From Pioneers to Prairie

Our journey continues eastward into Nebraska, where we’ll stop at The Archway, an immersive exhibit that brings to life the stories of the pioneers who helped shape America. From the Oregon Trail to the rise of 1950s diners and drive-ins, this engaging experience spans decades of American history, with plenty of time to explore the massive gift shop. We then travel south to Wichita, Kansas, where you’ll check in to your hotel situated along the scenic Arkansas River. After settling in, enjoy a relaxing evening Kickback—featuring hot food and cold drinks—the perfect way to unwind after a day rich with discovery.
Day 6 – Friday – March 20, 2026 – Wichita, KS to Oklahoma City, OK – Pioneers & Progress

Begin your day with a visit to the Keeper of the Plains, a striking 44-foot sculpture located at the confluence of the Big and Little Arkansas Rivers, honoring the region’s rich Native American heritage. Then, travel to Oklahoma City to explore the renowned National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, the nation’s premier institution celebrating Western history, art, and culture—including an impressive collection of John Wayne memorabilia. Continue to the powerful Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the 1995 Murrah Federal Building bombing, where impactful video and audio exhibits offer a deeply moving experience. Step into classic Americana at the restored Grand Train Station before continuing to the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District—125 acres dedicated to preserving the spirit of the American West. Watch the Longhorn Cattle Drive and see the skilled Fort Worth Herd Drovers bring cowboy traditions to life, with free time to explore the district’s shops, saloons, and historic streets.
Day 8 – Sunday – March 22, 2026 – Arlington, TX – A Day of History, Culture and Western Tradition – Dallas/Fort Worth

Start your day with a locally guided city tour of Dallas, highlighting key landmarks and rich historical insights into this dynamic Texas city. In the afternoon, explore the George W. Today, we leave Galveston behind and travel to the culturally rich city of San Antonio. After a scenic drive, we’ll arrive and begin with a guided tour of The Alamo, where you’ll explore the dramatic history of this iconic site and its role in the fight for Texas independence. From there, we’ll check in for a two-night stay along the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk, often called “the little Venice of Texas.” The remainder of the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy at your own pace—take a relaxing stroll along the river, browse the shops and galleries, or enjoy dinner at one of the many waterside restaurants.
Day 12 – Thursday – March 26, 2026 – San Antonio, TX – Cultural Sights and Riverwalk Nights

Day 14 – Saturday – March 28, 2026 – Carlsbad, NM to Sante Fe, NM – Aliens, Cowboys and Spanish Spirits

Today takes us a bit off the beaten path as we visit Roswell, New Mexico, home to the famed International UFO Museum and Research Center. Known worldwide for its connection to the alleged 1947 UFO crash, this quirky and intriguing stop offers a unique look into one of the most iconic and enduring mysteries of the American Southwest.
From there, we continue to the enchanting city of Santa Fe, where Spanish colonial charm seamlessly blends with Native American heritage. We’ll check in to the Drury Plaza Hotel Santa Fe, located just steps from the historic Santa Fe Plaza. You’ll have ample time to explore this vibrant area, from the Loretto Chapel and its “miraculous staircase” to the winding, adobe-lined streets that radiate the city’s timeless beauty. Day 17 – Tuesday – March 31, 2026 – Colorado Springs, CO to Cheyenne, WY – Ranches, Rocks, and Trolley Tracks

Today, before leaving Colorado, we’ll visit the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a world-renowned outdoor concert venue nestled among towering red sandstone formations that have hosted legendary artists across all genres. Crossing into Wyoming, we’ll stop at Terry Bison Ranch for a 45-minute fully narrated train tour, where you’ll learn about the ranch’s fascinating history and get up close to the famous bison herd as well as other intriguing animals like ostriches and hogs. After the tour, enjoy a hearty Dirty Dan McGee Burger and fries, the perfect way to recharge before continuing on. To end the day, we’ll board the 90-minute narrated Cheyenne Street Trolley, touring this historic city while discovering its unique landmarks, rich culture, and colorful history.
Day 18 – Wednesday – April 1, 2026 – Cheyenne, WY to Sheridan, WY – Trails of the Pioneers and the Path to Prosperity

We’ll make a brief stop in Casper to visit the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, where we’ll step back in time to explore the stories of pioneers who traveled the Oregon Trail, including Mormon emigrants journeying toward Utah. Continuing on to Sheridan, we’ll visit the stunning Kendrick Mansion, a remarkable example of early 20th-century Flemish Revival architecture. Built by John Kendrick—a penniless Texas orphan who rose to fortune through cattle ranching and real estate—the mansion, known as “Trail End,” offers an intimate glimpse into the Kendrick family’s world through personal items, period furnishings, and captivating displays that reveal a rich and colorful facet of Wyoming’s history.
Day 19 – Thursday – April 2, 2026 – Sheridan, WY to Great Falls, MT – From Battlefields to Cattle Trails

Begin the day with a visit to Little Bighorn Battlefield in Montana, a site of profound Native American significance where General Custer met his famous defeat. From there, we’ll continue north to Great Falls, known as the “Electric City” for its pioneering hydroelectric power from the Missouri River’s falls, and deeply connected to the region’s rich ranching heritage that stretches across the surrounding plains. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our hotel and come together for a farewell dinner—a special moment to share stories, reflect on the unforgettable experiences of the journey, and celebrate the friendships formed. Tomorrow, we’ll cross back into Canada, but tonight we’ll savor our last evening together and toast to the memories we’ve made.
Day 20 – Friday – April 3, 2026 – Great Falls, MT to Home – Journey’s Close and Reflection on Trails and Legacy

This journey through trails and western tales has been a truly enriching adventure. Like all great cowboy stories, it comes to its own ‘Trail’s End’ as we cross the border back into Canada. Though the world today looks very different, their legacies continue to shape the landscapes and lives we know—reminding us that their enduring spirit still rides strong.
