On this tour, we will traverse the highlands of Scotland, where ancient castles stand against the backdrop of misty mountains and lochs; venture into the heart of Wales, with its rugged coastline, charming villages, and deep-rooted Celtic heritage; and explore England, from the iconic landmarks of London to the picturesque countryside dotted with quaint towns and grand estates.

Today is your overnight transatlantic flight from your home airport to Edinburgh.

Arrive the Edinburgh Airport and begin our Tour of Edinburgh is Scotland’s compact, hilly capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. Arthur’s Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill is topped with monuments and memorials with visit Johnny Walker Whiskey Experience.

Scotland’s Highlands Loch Lomond National Park. Visit to William Wallace Monument, Stirling’s famous landmark stands above the fields where William Wallace led his troops to victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge and tells the story of the patriot and martyr who became Scotland’s National Hero. We then travel to the highlands for the Loch Lomond River Cruise which accesses some of the awe-inspiring places in the National Park – hidden islands, remote peaks and ancient forests, Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

St. Andrews guided walking tour. In a group, your guide will bring the town to life as you take a leisurely stroll to such attractions as St Andrews’ Cathedral, St Andrews’ Castle, the Old Course, the University of St. Andrews and hidden gems that most visitors miss. Balgownie Farm Tour where you will see behind the scenes of a working family farm, learn how we care for the cattle and what goes into producing Quality Assured Scotch Beef. Meet the cows and calves and take a walk into the crop fields to learn what we grow and what each crop is used for. You will also meet and photograph our Highland Cows and not forgetting Hamish and Dougal our very cheeky Pygmy goats. Dinner Show ‘Spirit of Scotland’, Edinburgh. Spending the evening in rip roaring traditional Scottish song and dance accompanied by a great selection of quality Scottish food to delight your palate. The resident band and the traditional Scottish Dancers provide breathtaking
performances.

Tour of Glasgow including Riverside Museum which is the first purpose-built museum created by Glasgow Life in the 21st century. Located at the junction of the Rivers Kelvin and Clyde, it houses the city’s fabulous transport and technology collections, which have been gathered over the centuries and which reflect the important part Glasgow has played in the world through its contributions to heavy industries like shipbuilding, train manufacturing and engineering. After lunch we will visit Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s grandest castles due to its imposing position and impressive architecture. The scenery will take your breath away. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Glasgow and enjoy dinner on your own.

We leave Scotland to stop at Great Britain’s Lake District World heritage site and largest national park Ambleside. We will spend time wandering around this typical Lake District Town, looking for evidence of the old mills, trying some of the cuisine or just taking in the charm of this lovely place on the northern shores of Windermere followed by a cruise on the Lake. In the afternoon we will make our way to Liverpool a with some photo stops on the way.

Get to know Liverpool and discover the home of the Beatles, visiting Penny Lane, the Cavern Club, Strawberry Fields’s and the childhood homes on John Lennon and Paul McCartney; and attractions including Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool Cathedral’s and Mersey River Cruise, including 15th Century Tudor Speke Hall Manor and gardens.

We will travel to Chester, a city in northwest England, founded as a Roman fortress in the 1st century AD. It is known for its extensive Roman walls made of local red sandstone. We will be doing a walking tour in the old city, the Chester Rows which is the shopping district, distinguished by 2-level covered arcades and Tudor-style half-timber buildings. A Roman amphitheater, with ongoing excavations which lie just outside the old city’s walls. Chester to head to our Hotel from Liverpool. We will be visiting Llangollen Railway, the only standard gauge heritage railway in North Wales. The journey by train is a relaxing 10 miles travelling through some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales. The line, located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), remains close to the waters of the river for most of its length as it gently meanders through the Dee Valley.  The views from the carriages are breathtaking and constantly changing. Today it is a premier tourist attraction of North Wales. We travel to Bedford from North Wales by motor coach to Llangollen Town which is located close to the Welsh Border with England, on the banks of the river Dee.

On arrival at Windsor, we stop for lunch and time on your own to visit the town. We then visit the oldest Royal castle in the world, Windsor Castle and St Georges Chapel, where Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh are laid to rest.

We stay local and we will visit the historic town of Olney, the home where the Amazing Grace Hymn was composed by John Newton. We will visit the Amazing Grace Museum and his Grave which is located at the 14th century Church of St Peter and Paul. Cambridge and University American Cemetery and Memorial, Grantchester Village (PBS UK TV series) and City Tour.

Today we drive to London on the motor coach and spend a full day sightseeing at the famous landmarks of London, Churchill War Rooms, with the famous clock Big Ben and the Tower of London, Kensington Palace where some of Princess Diana’s and other Royal dresses can be seen. Thames Boat Cruise.

In the morning we will experience the Changing of Guard at Buckingham Palace. Afternoon free to shop or take look through London’s Museums which are free over 116 to visit British Museum, Natural History Museum accept special exhibits. Best book tickets free in advance.
